Training Overview

Two in One Training Series

The Two in One Model training series includes a range of topics that historicize and contextualize HIV and COVID disparities among BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ populations.

We realize that routinizing HIV testing and care into primary care visits is not as simple as allotting time in the clinical exam to discuss the test. This training series is also designed to make PCPs aware of the state level policies that contribute to the stigma and hesitancy for patients to want to know their status.

Target Audience

This training targets Primary Care Practitioners (PCPs) in training or in practice who work in family practice or internal medicine as registered nurses (RN), nurse practitioners (NP), physician assistants (PA), medical doctors (MD), osteopathic medicine doctors (DO) or in the field of dentistry. This includes the pipeline of health professions students in clinical rotations.

This training series has two parts:

  1. Nine live-streamed CME-bearing monthly lectures
  2. An asynchronous CME-bearing module-based training course.

The series will culminate in a symposium focused on translating knowledge gained from the speaker series into policy-based and practice-based action.
